Naseem Shah Expresses Heartbreak Over Missing World Cup 2023

Pakistani cricket sensation, Naseem Shah, has shared his heartfelt disappointment after ruled out of the highly anticipated World Cup 2023 due to a shoulder injury.

Following the announcement of the national squad by Inzamam-ul-Haq, Naseem Shah took to Twitter to express his sorrow at not being able to be part of the exciting team.

In his tweet, the pacer from Dir wrote, “With a heavy heart, I am sharing that I will not be part of this amazing team representing our beloved country.”

He also added a note of hope, recognizing that everything is in the hands of Allah and expressing his desire to return to representing his country on the field in the near future.

Naseem Shah’s injury occurred at a critical juncture during the Asia Cup 2023, causing him to miss a crucial match against Sri Lanka.

Last week, Babar Azam, while speaking to the media, expressed hope for Naseem’s swift recovery and his potential return to the team in the second phase of the tournament.

However, the National Selection Committee has now announced that the experienced fast bowler Hasan Ali will replace Naseem Shah in the upcoming World Cup.

Pakistan has set to commence their World Cup 2023 campaign against the Netherlands on October 5 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.
