The Gilgit-Baltistan Home and Prisons department officially conveyed its decision to restore 4G cellular internet services in the region via a letter addressed to the Secretary of the Ministry of Interior. This decision, following improved security conditions as affirmed by the GB government, led the national telecom regulator, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), to reinstate mobile cellular internet services.
Furthermore, the official press release issued by the Gilgit-Baltistan government highlighted that the initial suspension aimed at restoring law and order in the region. With the situation having notably improved, the GB government has taken swift action to alleviate the difficulties faced by students, companies, and freelancers who heavily depend on internet connectivity for their activities.
