PTCL and DynaSys Networks Collaborate to Advance IoT and Satellite Communications

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and DynaSys Networks have announced a significant partnership aimed at advancing Internet of Things (IoT) and satellite communications in Pakistan. The collaboration has formalized through the signing of two Memoranda of Understandings (MoUs) at a ceremony held at the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) in Rawalpindi.

The IoT-focused MoU establishes a technical framework for integrating DynaSys’ IoT platform and end-user devices with PTCL’s Cloud, cybersecurity infrastructure, as well as wired and wireless transmission networks. This collaboration aims to create a fully integrated IoT service, a pioneering initiative in Pakistan, to made available to customers across the country. The shared vision of both organizations is to jointly become Pakistan’s largest IoT service provider with a target of achieving one million active end-user subscriptions.

Aamer Ejaz, Group Vice President, Carrier Services, PTCL & Ufone 4G, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are excited to establish a partnership with DynaSys to support the IoT and satcom needs of our business partners. PTCL, a market leader in telecom, is proactively playing its role to bridge the digital divide, bringing a positive change to people’s lives. Such partnerships will help us achieve that objective by providing futuristic, innovative, and cost-effective solutions, even in the remotest parts of the country. It will contribute significantly to stimulating business activity and overall economic growth in the country.”

Ali Akhtar, Founder and CEO of DynaSys Networks, emphasized the significance of the collaboration, saying, “The framework that DynaSys and PTCL have formally signed today is a giant leap towards realizing IoT in Pakistan. The missing piece of the puzzle so far has been the platform, which we have now solved. In the months ahead, we will be working closely to materialize Pakistan’s first full-fledged IoT service. The second MoU aligns the technical and commercial expertise of DynaSys’ satellite communications team with PTCL’s extensive satellite communications infrastructure and rich history of satellite services in Pakistan. Through this alliance, both companies aspire to become Pakistan’s largest satellite communications systems integrators and service providers while aiming to significantly increase their market share regionally.

This partnership reflects PTCL’s commitment to bridging the Digital Divide in Pakistan and providing innovative solutions across the country, including remote areas.
