Today at 6:00 PM, a protest against rising inflation has set to take place alongside Liaquat Bagh Chowk on Murree Road, Rawalpindi. This timing coincides with the evening rush hour when people are returning from work to their homes.
Murree Road, especially the stretch between Committee Chowk and Liaquat Bagh, has known for its traffic congestion even during regular times. With the protest scheduled during peak Traffic hours, the situation is likely to worsen. Commuters advised to plan their travel accordingly.
In related news, Rawalpindi City Traffic Police (CTP) recently announced their intent to file FIRs against road encroachers who do not comply with anti-encroachment efforts. The Traffic authorities determined to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent accidents.
During a recent meeting, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Taimoor Khan instructed traffic officials and wardens to strictly enforce regulations against motorcyclists without helmets, number plates, and licenses, as well as underage drivers.”
