Triumphant Success Rescued Battagram Cable Car Students Excel in Matric Exams

In a heartwarming testament to determination, three students hailing from Government High School, Batangi Pashto Alai, Battagram, have emerged triumphant in their matriculation board exams. Their remarkable achievements come on the heels of a recent ordeal where they were stranded in a cable car, subsequently rescued by locals and the Pakistan Army.

Remarkable Academic Success

Demonstrating exceptional prowess, Attaullah, Niaz Muhammad, and Osama, the students at the center of this inspiring story, have all secured positions in the top 10 percent of their class. Attaullah, the son of Kifayatullah Shah, stands as a shining example with a remarkable score of 442 marks.

Not far behind, Niaz Muhammad, son of Umar Zeib, distinguished himself with an impressive score of 412 marks. Likewise, Osama, son of Muhammad Sharif, achieved a commendable score of 391 marks.

Rescue Operation in Battagram Cable Car Incident

Reflecting on the backdrop of this extraordinary story, a heart-stopping cable car incident unfolds. Eight individuals, including seven students and a teacher, found themselves suspended over a valley due to a cable car malfunction. A courageous and extensive rescue operation ensued, spanning hours and primarily led by the Pakistan Army.

On that fateful day, the students were en route to their school in the rugged terrains of Battagram district when the incident occurred. Two of the three lines that suspended the cable car snapped at an alarming height of about 182 meters (597 feet) above the ground.

A Nation’s Relief and Acknowledgment

The ordeal reached its conclusion under the spotlight of national attention. The caretaker Prime Minister, Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, officially declared the end of the 13-hour rescue mission on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. This moment of relief signified not only the successful conclusion of the rescue operation but also the resilience and determination of these students, who, despite their challenging circumstances, continue to shine as beacons of inspiration.
